This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to grant permission to perform the programmes such as Karakattam, Villupattu and Arthajama Poojai on 05.02.2018 and 06.02.2018 at night 10.00pm., to 02.00.am., and eve of festival at Arulmighu Sri Uchinimakaliamman Thirukovil situated at Vagaikulam, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Manur Taluk, Tirunelveli District.
2.Heard, Mr.M.Sankar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that on behalf of the Vagaikulam Village people, the temple festival to be celebrated on 05.02.2018 and 06.02.2018 during night hours from 10.00pm., to 02.00am., and at that time they have decided to perform Karakattam, Villupattu and Arthajama Poojai and hence, the petitioner has submitted a petition on 30.01.2018 before the second respondent seeking permission and also to give police protection, but sofar, no action has been taken.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has submitted that after considering his representation, the second respondent has already passed an order on 30.01.2018 itself granting permission with certain conditions and hence, this petition has become infructuous.
5.Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
