Prayer:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2020 and to make payment of Rs.2,26,426/- towards reimbursement of medical expenses with interest at the rate of 9% per annum from the date of making the claim till the actual payment to be made to the petitioner within a stipulated time may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2020 and to make payment of Rs.2,26,426/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Twenty Six Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty Six only) towards reimbursement of medical expenses with interest at the rate of 9% per annum from the date of making the claim till the actual payment to be made to the petitioner 2/6
within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was working as Block Development Officer and was allowed to retire from service on 31.03.2015. He is a member of the Tamil Nadu Government Health Insurance Scheme and in every month, a sum of Rs.350/- has been recovered from the petitioner's pension. While so, on 25.12.2019, the petitioner's wife was suddenly fell down due to breathlessness and high fever and she became unconscious. Hence, she was admitted in the Rose Mary Hospital, Vannarpettai, Tirunelveli. The total medical expenditure met out by the petitioner for his wife is Rs.2,26,426/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Twenty Six Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty Six only). Hence, the petitioner has made an application to the third respondent on 03.02.
2020 with the request to forward his claim and reimburse the medical expenditure incurred by him. The third respondent has forwarded the proposal to the first respondent vide proceedings dated 14.02.
17.06.2020. But, till date, the medical expenditure incurred by the petitioner has not been disbursed to him. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the fourth respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the recommendation made by the first respondent vide proceedings dated 17.06.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent have no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the fourth respondent to pass appropriate orders on the 4/6
recommendation made by the first respondent vide proceedings dated 17.06.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
