O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission and to give police protection for conducting the village level Kabadi Tournament on 03.02.2018 at about 10.00.p.m in Mullai Nagar Ground, Somarasampettai, Trichy District 2.Heard, Mr.K.Sivabalan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Shanmuga Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in their village, the village people have decided to conduct Kabadi Tournament on 03.02.2018, with regard to that they have submitted an application on 31.01.2018, seeking permission and Police protection, but sofar, no action has been taken by the respondent in that application.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has submitted that already a permission has been granted for performing some other function in the same village on the same https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

day. Hence, it is not possible for the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct Kabadi Tournament on the same day and also it is not possible to give police protection. Hence, he request to direct the petitioner to give fresh application mentioning the fresh date.

5.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the petitioner is directed to give fresh application fixing the fresh date and on such submission the respondent has to consider and pass appropriate orders.

6.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
