ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to sanction a sum of Rs.6,10,000/- as education loan to the petitioner's daughter namely Thangamari who is studying B.S.c., Agriculture in a private college affliated to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

2.Heard Mr.M.Jothi Basu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Dilipkumar, learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the respondent bank submitted that the petitioner has applied for educational loan in the respondent bank whereas as per their blockwise list of service area one Pandyan Grama Bank which is also providing educational loan which is adjacent to the petitioner's place and the petitioner has to approach that bank only. 4.In the above circumstances, the petitioner is directed to file an application before the Pandiyan Grama Bank. If any such application is filed, the authority concerned shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
