respondents to disburse the petitioner the sum of Rs.6,49,848/- towards Final Payment of EPF Account with 12% interests per annum from the date of retirement of the petitioner's husband on 31.05.2018 ie., from 01.08.2018 onwards till the date of actual disbursement within a limited time frame.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to disburse a sum of Rs.6,49,848/- towards Final Payment of EPF Account with 12% interest per annum from the date of retirement of the petitioner's husband on 31.05.2018 ie., from 01.08.2018 onwards till the date of actual disbursement within a limited time frame.

2. During the course of hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has placed the

proceedings of the Accounts Officer, CTA (CPS Wing), Chennai - 35, wherein it is stated that an amount of Rs.9,77,394/- has been sanctioned in favour of the petitioner in consideration of her request and the same was sent to the Treasuries Department and the said amount will be disbursed to the petitioner within three weeks.

3. Since CPS final payment authorisation is issued and now it is pending with the Treasuries Department for disbursement of the said amount to the petitioner, in our considered view, at present no further orders are required in the present writ petition as the relief sought for in this Writ Petition has already been achieved.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
