ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to dispose of his application dated 15.10.2024 requesting for correction of errors that had crept in the SLR records.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the property was originally belonging to the petitioner's grandfather and subsequently, the petitioner's uncle's name has been included in the revenue records. According to the petitioner, the said mutation in the name of the petitioner's uncle is erroneous and not based on documentary evidence. Hence, the petitioner has made an application for a rectification of the said error by application dated 15.10.2024. According to the petitioner, no orders have been passed on the said application dated 15.10.2024. 3.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 4.The petitioner's representation dated 15.10.2024 is admittedly pending with the first respondent, who is the competent authority, though the petitioner 2/4

has also marked a copy of the representation to the second respondent. The first respondent shall enquire into the petitioner's request for rectification of errors and shall pass orders in accordance with law and after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as any other persons who may be interested in the subject survey property. The said exercise shall be carried out, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
