This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the third respondent in respect of the property in S.No.42/1C, situated at Maikudi Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, which belonged to the petitioner's family and though the petitioner had already approached the authorities for transfer of patta after the demise of his father, in whose name the patta had earlier been granted, the said representation has not been considered.

The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the private respondent and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the competent Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
