This petitioner has come forward with this application, seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.60 of 2015, on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Ramanathapuram, Ramanathapuram District.

2. I have heard the counsel appearing for the petitioner and Government Advocate (crl.side) for 1st respondent. None appears of the 2nd respondent.

3. It is represented by the Government Advocate (crl.side) that initially the petitioner was arrayed as A5 in Crime No.60 of 2015, on the file of the 1st respondent police and subsequently, after his name has been deleted.

4. Recording the submission made by the Government Advocate (crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. Needless to mention that in case the matter is taken up on file by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the Magistrate, in terms of Sections 319 and 216 of Cr.P.C., the Magistrate is empowered to alter or add any charge at any time before the Judgment is pronounced and at the same time, he is also empowered to proceed against other persons appearing to be guilty of the offence in terms of Section 319 of Cr.P.C..
