Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner was working as Personal Assistant to the Regional Transport Officer. He reached the age of superannuation on 30.06.2013. Charge memo dated 27.11.2012 was issued against the petitioner. Even though the enquiry is formally over, final orders are yet to be passed. The respondents are not justified in keeping the disciplinary action indefinitely pending. It is seen that the disciplinary proceedings are almost more than six years old. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.Therefore, the second respondent is directed to pass final orders in the matter on or before 31.03.2018.

5.With this direction, the Writ Petition stands allowed accordingly. No costs.
