Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

2.The issue relates to filling up of the vacancy in the post of Panchayat Clerk in Narasinganallur Panchayat. The case of the petitioner for being appointed to the said post was rejected on the ground that there is no vacancy.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was submitted by the learned counsel on either side that the said post is presently vacant. It is for the third and fourth respondents to take steps to fill up the said post. Since it is a public post, all eligible persons are entitled to apply for consideration of their applications. If the said vacancy is filled up, the petitioner's case of course shall also be considered along with all other eligible candidates, if he takes out an application. 4.Directing the respondents to consider case of the petitioner while filling up the said post, this writ petition is disposed of.
