ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had filed this Writ Petition to direct the Respondents to grant permission to conduct the Kabadi competition organized by Madhavan Memorial Kuzhu Vignesh Memorial Kuzhu and Junior Seven Tigers Team scheduled on 17.02.2024 (Saturday) at about 10.00 PM to 19.02.2024 (Monday) at about 10.00 AM in the playground which is situated near Bus Stand Vaalavanthan Kottai Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District, by considering the Petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2024.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, would submit that if the Petitioner appears before the Respondent Police, there are ready to pass appropriate orders as per the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, in Rc.No.007301/General I(I)/2019, dated 09.04.2019 is in force regarding organizing the events and cultural programme. He also seeks 2/4

payment of appropriate fee for providing police protection, as per G.O.Ms.No. 139, Home (PoI.VIII) Dept. dated 04.03.2019.

3. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner undertakes to pay necessary charges as per Circulars.

4. The Petitioner is directed to appear before the Respondent Police. On such appearance, the Respondent Police are directed to dispose of the Petition today itself.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the Writ Petition is disposed of. The Petitioner as well as the organizer of the Kabadi meet shall pay reimbursement of Guard Charges for the Police Personnel as per G.O.Ms.No.139, Home (PoI.VIII) Dept. dated 04.03.2019. No costs.
