Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal 3.The petitioner is a pensioner. At the age of 78 years, complaining of some pay anomaly, he is of the view that his grievances will be set right, if the same is compared with reference to the entries in his Service Register. He therefore wants a copy of the Service Register to be furnished. He made a representation. Since it was not acted upon, this Writ Petition came to be filed. 4.When the matter was taken up for disposal, Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the building, in which the documents in question were https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

housed, has been shifted. Therefore, the respondents are really not in a position to say if the record is actually available. 5.The petitioner retired from service as early as on 31.05.1999. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to undertake a diligent search for the Service Register of the petitioner and if found furnish a copy of the same to the petitioner. It is open to the petitioner to offer his services in the process of search.

6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is allowed accordingly. No costs.
