*********** Heard Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The petitioner is a senior citizen, aged about 70 years. He reached the age of superannuation as early as on 31.05.2007. However, the suspension order was passed on the eve of his retirement. Disciplinary action was initiated. The same was kept pending till date.

4. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the enquiry stage has long since crossed and the enquiry report has been submitted. The petitioner has also given his further representation. The matter is pending with the first respondent.
5. The first respondent is therefore directed to pass final orders on the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner on or before 30.04.2018
