Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned proceedings in Na.Ka.No.Aa1-718-2022 dated 10.02.2022 passed by the third respondent quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to conduct the Masi month festival of Arulmighu Vanathai Amman Temple of Thiruppainjeeli Village, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District on 22.02.2022 and from 07.03.2022 to 13.03.2022 by following COVID-19 pandemic protocols.

ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has enclosed the copy of proceedings of the Executive Officer indicating the schedule for the festival.

2. The learned counsel for the fourth respondent submits that permission has been granted for conducting the function. He also further submits that he received instructions to request the Court to direct the Revenue and Police officials to give suitable protection so that the festival can be conducted in a peaceful manner.

3. Considering the same, I am inclined to dispose this Writ Petition by directing the respondents 1 to 3 and Superintendent of Police to give adequate protection for the festival so that no untoward incident takes place or creation of Law and Order problem. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
