O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's candidature for appointment to the post of Village Assistant at any of the Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District by considering his representation, dated 26.12.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the available materials on record.

3. During the course of hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is entitled for consideration for appointment to the post of Village Assistant as per his performance in the selection process held earlier. With a request to consider his candidature for appointment, he submitted a representation dated 26.12.2024 to the second respondent and it is pending. 2/5

Considering the fact that the representation submitted by the petitioner is pending with the second respondent, in our considered view, it is appropriate and reasonable to dispose of this writ petition at the stage of admission with the consent of both parties without going into the merits of the case with a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation, dated 26.12.2024 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law within a stipulated time to meet the ends of justice.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation, dated 26.1.2024 submitted by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order in accordance with law. No costs.
