Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to graciously extend time to pay the arrears of electricity bills and restore the electricity connection in HT Service No.155 of M/s.A.V.Industries, Shed No.9, SIPCOT Industrial Estate, Manamadurai, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner representation dated 02.01.2023. ORDER
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The petitioner is a consumer of electricity. He has to pay a sum of Rs.52 Lakhs to the respondents. He wants to clear the same in easy installments. My attention is drawn to the order dated 24.02.2022 made in W.P.(MD)No.1256 of 2022. Paragraph No.8 of the said order reads as follows:- "8.Accordingly, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 18.02.2022 seeking for payment of Current Consumption Charges, Additional 2/4
Current Consumption Deposit (ACCD), Meter Caution Deposit (MCD) with other charges in installments and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and by considering the proceedings, dated 23.11.2020 issued by the second respondent in favour of the vendor of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
3.This writ petition is disposed of on the same lines. The third respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2023 and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
