ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the third respondent police not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry and not to interfere in the dispute pending between the petitioner and the fourth respondent.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is doing Cotton business in Coimbatore and had transaction between fourth respondent. Thereafter, due to business transaction, there are misunderstanding arose between the parties. Thereby, the fourth respondent lodged a false complaint and based on the complaint, the third respondent used to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. Already the petitioner appeared before the third respondent two times and already the petitioner also filed a suit in O.S.No.82 of 2025 before the III Additional District Munsif Court, Coimbatore and the same is also pending. While so, without considering the nature of the allegations levelled in the petition, the third respondent harassed the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner filed this petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents would submit that based on the complaint given by the fourth respondent, they called the petitioner for enquiry and they have not harassed the petitioner as alleged by him and the enquiry is still pending and they will complete the enquiry within one week.

4. Since the third respondent received complaint as against the petitioner through the fourth respondent and the same is under enquiry, this Court directs the third respondent to complete the enquiry within a period of one (1) week from the date of this order.

5. With the above said observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
