This petition has been filed to direct respondents to grant permission for performing the cultural programme to be conducted on 14.02.2018 as a part of Masi Maga Sivarathiri Festival of "Arulmigu Sree Gengai Amman Thirukoil" at Vepillaipatti, Sathur Taluk, Virudhunagar District.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting cultural programme, on 14.02.2018. They have decided to celebrate the festival at the above said place and for that they have already given a representation, dated 30.01.2018 to the respondents and no order has been passed till now. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has not raised any serious objection.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 30.01.2018 and dispose of the same at early by keeping in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
