ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to expedite and conclude the trial of the present case in M.C.No.22 of 2023 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi District within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that these petitioners are the petitioners in M.C.No.22 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi District and the said case is pending for more than 2 years and they filed the above said case for maintenance and without any maintenance amount, they are struggling for their livelihood and therefore, the said petition has to be disposed of without any delay.

3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court without issuing notice to the respondent, inclined to pass the order. 2/4

4. According to the petitioners, they filed the said main case for claiming maintenance as against the respondent and the same is pending from 2023 onwards. Considering the nature of the petition and the same is pending for more than 2 years, this Court directs the Trial Court (i.e.,) learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi District to dispose the said case as early as possible without giving long adjournment.

5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
