Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to release the arrears of salary and other consequential service benefits of Rs.34,66,449/- for the period from 01.09.2017 to 31.12.2023 to the petitioner in light of her approval of appointment as BT Assistant (Maths) order passed by the 1st respondent in Na.Ka.No. 1799/A1/2024 dated 08.10.2024 based on the proposal sent by the 3rd Respondent dated 22.09.2025 and 20.01.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner was appointed as B.T.Assistant in an Aided School on 18.11.2015. The petitioner's appointment was not approved by the Department and thereafter, pursuant to the direction of this Court in W.P. (MD)No.8572 of 2024 dated 08.04.2024, the petitioner's appointment has been approved with effect from 01.09.2017. Now, the petitioner has approached this Court that she has not been paid with arrears of salary.

2. This Court, by its order dated 09.02.2026, directed the learned Government Advocate to ascertain as to why the arrears of salary has not 2/4

been paid to the petitioner. The learned Government Advocate still requires some accommodation to ascertain the same.

3. Considering the nature of relief sought for in this writ petition, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to provide the eligible arrears of salary to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
