PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent and third respondents i.e., the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai and the District Collector, Virudhunagar to send revised pension proposals to the Accountant General, Chennai, calculating half of the services put in by the petitioner as Headman within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

Mrs.S.Srimathi, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent.
2.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.The writ petitioner herein retired as Village Administrative Officer. His grievance is that service put in by him prior to his absorption in the regular time scale of pay as Village Administrative Officer was not taken into account, while finalising his pension proposals. The writ petitioner want the respondents to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
send the revised pension proposal to the Accountant General, Chennai, by taking into account the half of the service put in by him earlier prior to him absorption as Village Administrative Officer.
4.The issue on hand is no longer res integra. On 02.08.2017, this Court allowed W.P.(MD).Nos.7217 of 2015 etc., batch, by granting necessary directions to the authorities. Following the said order, the respondents herein are directed to send revised pension proposals to the Accountant General, Chennai, by calculating half of the service put in by him earlier. Such proposals shall be sent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
