This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to provide effective police protection for erection of transmission cell phone tower and to install the telecommunication electrical and electronics equipments, OFC cable and the maintenance work on the said BTS Transmission Tower at Sf.No.184/23, Kasangadu, Pattukottai Taluk, Tanjore District.
2.Heard, Mr.R.G.Shankar Ganesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner's company is engaged in the business of providing broadband internet services and other allied services on a Pan-India Basis. He further submitted that the said company has obtained necessary license for erecting cell phone tower and installed all the telecommunication electrical and electronics equipments. further submitted that the petitioner's company entered into an agreement with one Bala Subramanian for a period of twenty years for erection of transmission within the jurisdiction of Madhukoor Police Station and when the petitioner tried to erect the cell phone tower some unknown persons interfered and threatened the petitioner from erecting the transmission cell phone tower and hence, the petitioner has submitted a representation before the respondent police on 25.07.2017, but sofar, no order has been passed. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that this matter is pending for enquiry.
5.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to enquire the matter and pass appropriate order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
