2. The petitioner was an applicant for the post of Anganvadi Assistant in Burma Colony, Trichirappalli. The petitioner was not selected, instead one Vijayalakshmi has been selected. The petitioner is aggrieved by her non-selection and also the appointment of Vijayalakshmi. If so, the remedy open to the petitioner is to question the appointment of said Vijayalakshmi in the manner known to law, instead, the petitioner wants to conduct a detailed enquiry with regard to the irregularities committed in the appointment of Anganvadi Organizer in Kaveri Nagar and Anganvadi Assistant in Burma Colony, Trichirappalli. The petitioner wants this Court to treat this petition as Public Interest Litigation. That is impermissible. It is open to the petitioner to question the appointment of the selected candidates in the manner known to law.

3. With these observations, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
