ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 294(b) and 506(1) of I.P.C., in Crime No.Not Known of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the petitioners is that he married the de-facto complainant on 19.10.2018 and due to misunderstanding, they are living separately. The de-facto complainant has given a false complaint against him and his family members, alleging dowry harassment and other offences. Hence, they seek for anticipatory bail https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.3147 of 2020 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) would submit that based on the complaint, it was registered as Crime No.4 of 2020 by the respondent police, for the offences, under Sections 498(A), 294 (b) and 506(1) of I.P.C. and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and enquiry was conducted. In the course of enquiry, the defacto complainant and the petitioner herein had decided to amicably settle their matrimonial dispute by filing appropriate petition and dissolve the marriage. The parties have also executed an agreement to that effect on 02.03.2020 and therefore, based on the compromise arrived at between the parties, they are going to close the complaint.

4.Recording the same, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
