This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct he programme namely "Aadal Padal" in Arulmigu Sri Karuppasamy Temple "Maha Sivarathiri" Pooja festival on 15.02.2018 in the petitioner's village (Sivanthipatti Village), Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2018.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting "Adal Padal" programme such as cultural programme, on 15.02.2018. They have decided to celebrate the festival at the above said place and for that they have already given a representation dated 05.02.2018 to the respondents and no order has been passed till now.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has not raised any serious objection.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 05.02.2018 and dispose of the same at early by keeping in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
