Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to dispose the appeal petition dated 22.07.2014 preferred by the petitioner in the light of the order made in WP(MD)Nos.1123 and 1124 of 2007 dated 07.02.2014 and in terms of order passed in WP(MD) No.14754 of 2014 dated 23.09.2014 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.01.2018.

ORDER

The petitioner is working as Special Tahsildar in Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though she was eligible for promotion as Deputy Tahsildar during 2006, she was belatedly given promotion only on 02.02.2009. As a result, her promotion to the post of Tahsildar was again delayed and she got promotion only on 05.07.2014. In this regard, she has given an appeal petition dated 22.07.2014.

2.The first respondent is yet to pass orders thereon. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the petitioner's appeal petition dated 22.07.2014 in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
