Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representations dated 22.09.2017 and 03.10.2017 and transfer the petitioner to Kanyakumari District based on the Government Order in G.O.(1D) No. 256 School Education Department, dated 19.04.2017 and seniority.

2. The petitioner belongs to Kanyakumari District. She was however appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher in Namakkal District. The petitioner's contention is that as per G.O.(1D) No. 256 School Education Department, dated 19.04.2017, she is eligible to be called for counselling and posted in her native District. Her grievance is that till date she has not been called for any such counselling. She would also point out that similarly placed persons have been called for counselling and also given posting in their native District. She has given representations in this regard on 22.09.2017 and 03.10.2017.

3. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations and pass orders in the light of the G.O.(1D) No. 256 School Education Department, dated 19.04.2017, on or before 30.04.2018 This Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
