This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first to third respondents herein to rectify the mistake in Patta No.2130 and consequently direct the third respondent to issue a fresh patta in the petitioner's name by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2026.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the fourth respondent, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against him.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the property in New Survey No.891/14 (Old Survey No.256/1A1A). The petitioner has been approaching the authorities for issuance of patta in his name for several years. However, the same has not been issued. Meanwhile, patta was wrongly issued in the name of the fourth respondent under Patta No.2130. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.01.2026 seeking rectification of the mistake and issuance of patta in his name. However, the same has not been considered. 4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the third respondent within a period of twelve weeks.
5. Recording the above submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2026 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The third respondent shall afford a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and all other interested parties before passing orders. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the competent Civil Court. No costs. [K.SURENDER, J.] 10.02.2026 JEN Index : Yes / No Page No. 3 of 5
