Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent herein to conduct an interview to the petitioner on the basis of her application dated 11/12/2017 vide application No.06077 for the post of Salesman in connection with the Kanyakumari District Ration Shop Recruitment notification 2017 dated 25/11/2017 within the time stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner was an applicant for the post of Sales Man in the Fair Price Shop located in and around Kanyakumari District. The petitioner had applied in proper format in response to the recruitment notification. Though interview was conducted in January 2018, for reasons not known, the petitioner was not called for interview. Therefore the writ petition has been filed. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is seen that there was no justification in not calling the petitioner for interview. Therefore, the respondent is directed to conduct a special interview for the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today.

3.The writ petition is allowed as indicated above. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
