ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to conduct an enquiry and change the patta in petitioner's mother's name Bommiammal, pertaining the land situated in S.No. 241/1B at Akkiyampatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District, by way of considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2026.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the fourth respondent, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's mother is the absolute owner of the subject property. For the construction of the National Highway between Madurai - Natham - Thuvarankurichi (NH-785E), the NHAI Authorities acquired an extent of 3800 sq. mts. of the said land, and the remaining portion measures 13 cents. It is further

submitted that the fourth respondent, who is a relative of the petitioner, allegedly produced fraudulent documents before the NHAI Authorities and usurped the entire compensation amount awarded for the acquired land. She has also approached the third respondent and obtained Patta in respect of the remaining extent of 13 cents in her name. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.01.2026 seeking to conduct an enquiry and for mutation of the Patta in the name of her mother. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and any

other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
