For Petitioners : Mr.S.Visvalingam For Respondents : Mr.M.Jeyakumar Additional Government Pleader (in all the Writ Petitions) COMMON ORDER Mr.M.Jeyakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents in all the writ petitions. 2.By consent of both parties, the main writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.Heard Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioners in all the writ petitions and Mr.M.Jeyakumar,
learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents in all the writ petitions.
4. The writ petitioners are working as Senior Revenue Inspectors. They have certain service related grievances relating to re-fixing of inter-se seniority between directly recruited Assistants and promotee Assistants. The writ petitioners have submitted appeals before the first respondent. The appeals were lodged in November, 2017. All that they seek is early disposal of their appeals.
5. Mr.M.Jeyakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents in all the writ petitions submits that the first respondent shall pass final orders in the appeals in accordance with law.
6. Taking note of the said submission, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the writ petitioners' appeals regarding refixation of inter-se seniority between directly recruited Assistants and the promotee Assistants for the period of 2012 to 2015 in accordance with law on or before 31.05.2018, after issuing notice to the affected parties.
7. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The direction to dispose of the appeals alone is given.
8. Accordingly, these writ petitioners are disposed of. No costs.
