ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the third respondent is the landlord of the petitioner and there existed some dispute between them. He would further submit that the petitioner has filed a civil suit in O.S.No.149 of 2022 and is also pending before the District Munsif Court, Vadipatti and during the pendency of the above said civil suit, the third respondent has lodged a complaint against the petitioner and on that basis, harassment was made.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the third respondent and in pursuance of the direction of this Court in W.P.(MD)No.28717 of 2022 dated 05.01.2023, a case in Crime No.68 of 2023 has been registered for the offences under Sections 2/4

294(b) and 506(1) IPC, Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 and Section 24 of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Act, 2007 on 14.02.2023 against four persons including the petitioner herein.

4. In view of the above said development, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is at liberty to work out her remedy through appropriate proceedings.
