O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction, to direct the respondents No.1 and 2 to grant permission and protection of Maha Sivarathri Festival at Arulmigu Angala Eshwari Amman Temple, Ganagaikondam, scheduled to be held on 18.02.2025 to 27.02.2025, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent Nos.1 & 2 would submit that already for the same relief, the brother of the petitioner namely the third respondent filed a writ petition in W.P.(MD).No.3549 of 2025 and this court also disposed of the writ petition by giving permission to conduct the said festival with certain conditions. Therefore, the present petition is unnecessary one. Therefore, he prays to close this writ petition.

3. The third respondent also not disputed the earlier order passed by this Court. The petitioner herein was also impleaded as one of the party in the said writ petition.

4. According to the petitioner, he sent a representation to the respondent police on 04.02.2025 for conducting Maha Sivarathri Festival. According to the respondent police, already for the same temple, the third respondent, who is the brother of this petitioner also filed W.P.(MD).No.3549 of 2025 for the same relief and the same was allowed.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court without going into the merits of this case, inclined to close this writ petition. This Court has already passed a detailed order with regard to conducting the said festival. However, the parties are directed to ensure the safety of the general public who are all participate in the said festival and the petitioner as well as the third respondent shall not create any law and order problem.

6. With the above said observations, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
