O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to issue the property tax receipts in the petitioner's name instead of the petitioner's deceased mother name, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 18.08.2025 and 06.01.2026 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner, after the demise of his mother, seeks transfer of the house tax assessment and property tax receipts in his name from that of his deceased mother. Accordingly, he obtained permission from the village authorities, pursuant to which a consent letter dated 01.07.2025 was issued in his favour. Based on the said consent letter, the petitioner approached the office of the third respondent on several occasions seeking transfer of the property tax from the name of his deceased mother to his name. Since no action was taken, the petitioner submitted detailed representations to the respondents on 18.08.2025 and 2/5
06.01.2026. However, the same have not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered in accordance with law.
5. This Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 18.08.2025 and 06.01.2026 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
