PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the Gratuity, Provident Fund and Encashment of Earned Leave along with unearned Leave Benefits and all other consequential monetary benefits to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned counsel, appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Srimathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner was working as a Village Administrative Officer. He reached the age of superannuation in the year 2010 itself. However, he was not allowed to retire in view of the pendency of a criminal case initiated against him. The petitioner was acquitted on 24.03.2017. Even thereafter, the petitioner's case continues to be kept in cold storage. The petitioner has given a representation on 21.04.2017 for disbursal of his retirement benefits.

4.The third respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law on merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
