Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent i.e. Joint Director of Agriculture of Sivagangai to intimate petitioner the result of the verification of original certificates on 30.08.2017 and further action taken within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner is an unemployed youth. He applied in response to the notification issued by the second respondent inviting applications for the post of Office Assistant. Certificate verification was held on 30.08.2017. Thereafter, nothing was heard from the respondents. Therefore, this writ petition came to be filed for directing the second respondent to intimate the petitioner the result of the verification process.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that since several allegations were made, a decision had been taken for temporarily suspending the recruitment process. 3.The information given by the learned Additional Government Pleader is neither here nor there. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to take a decision in the matter, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. first respondent comes to the conclusion that the recruitment process are full of irregularities, it is certainly open to him to even cancel the entire process. If it is not so, the selection process that was already conducted shall be completed within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
