O R D E R

The petitioners are facing trial in C.C.No.166 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai, for the offences under Sections 365, 120(B), 147, 148, 341, 506(ii) and 149 of I.P.C.

2. The defacto complainant is the second respondent Karanam. Her allegation is that her grand daughter had entered into a love marriage. In order to find out the whereabouts of the run away couple, the son and daughter-in-law of the defacto complainant were abducted. This happened on 23.07.2017.

3. It is now stated that the grand daughter of the defacto complainant and the son of the first accused are now happily living together. In order to generate genuine goodwill between the two families, the defacto complainant does not want to pursue the matter. 2 CRL.O.P.(MD)NO.3327 OF 2020 are also present before me. They have no objection for quashing the impugned prosecution. Since the parties have resolved the issue between themselves, I am of the view that continuance of the impugned prosecution is not warranted.

4. Therefore, the proceedings in C.C.No.166 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai stand quashed. The criminal original petition stands allowed.
