ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 2nd respondent not to interfere in the civil dispute regarding the 1/4

petitioner's tenancy right.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the lessee in S.F.No.609 /3 to an extent of 2.57 acres, 609/5 to an extent of 2.33 acres and 611 to an extent of 3.46 acres situated at Kadambankulam, South Valliyoor Village Part -I, Radhapuram Taluk, Thirunelveli District, which is belongs to the Thiruvavadudurai Aadhinam. The petitioner is enjoying the said land as a lessee by entering an agreement with the said Aadhinam and doing agricultural activities. While so, the 2nd respondent called the petitioner on 20.01.2025 for enquiry based on the complaint given by the 3rd respondent. The dispute is purely civil in nature, however the 2nd respondent harassed the petitioner under the guise of enquiry and hence, he filed this petition.

The Government Advocate (Criminal) appearing for the respondents no.1 and 2 would submit that there is a tenancy dispute between the parties and thereby, the 3rd respondent lodged a complaint and C.S.R.No. 93 of 2025 was assigned. As per the complaint, there are chances for clash between the two separate groups, therefore they sent the representation to the concerned Tahsildar to convene peace meeting and to take appropriate action. Therefore, they have not interfered in the civil dispute, however in 2/4

order to maintain the law and order, they called the petitioner and already they sent the representation to the Tahsildar to take appropriate action.

Since the respondent police have received the complaint from the 3rd respondent as against the petitioner and there is a chances of law and order issue and already the 2nd respondent has also sent the representation to the concerned Tahsildar for taking steps to convene peace committee meeting, this Court is inclined to dispose the petition by recording the submission of the 2nd respondent. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
