O R D E R

*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.09.2021 seeking for issuance of gun license to the petitioner.

2.The case of the petitioner is that gun license is required for him. The petitioner has given certain reasons in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition which will have to be examined by the first respondent when the petitioner's gun license application is decided on merits and in accordance with law. 3.Heard Mr.S.Ramsundarvijayraj, learned Counsel for the writ petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's gun license application dated 30.09.2021 is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Accordingly, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 30.09.2021 seeking for issuance of gun license in his favour and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording a fair opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any other necessary party.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
