PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Respondent Nos.1 and 4 to grant permission to conduct the Mahasivarathiri Pooja and Periyakumbidu vizha in Arulmigu Veeramathiyamman temple in Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District and Shree Annai Kamatchi Amman Thirukovil in Aravakurichi taluk, Karur District on 18.02.2023 and 23.05.2023 to 27.05.2023.

O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the Respondent Nos.1 and 4 to grant permission to conduct the Mahasivarathiri Pooja and Periyakumbidu vizha in Arulmigu Veeramathiyamman temple in Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District and Shree Annai Kamatchi Amman Thirukovil in Aravakurichi taluk, Karur District on 18.02.2023 and 23.05.2023 to 27.05.2023.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner and as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that Peace Committee Meeting was conducted and festival was also over.
3. By the order dated 25.04.2023, it has been ordered to convene the peace committee meeting on or before 07.05.2023. The parties were directed to abide by the resolution to be taken in the above said peace committee meeting without making any trouble. It has been further submitted that the right cannot be decided at this stage, since now the suit is also filed by the private respondent before the Sub Court, Karur, which is stated to be pending.

4. For reporting the above said development only, this matter has been listed today.
5. But, the learned counsel for the respondents No.5 to 14 would submit that without any locus standi, this petitioner have conducted the Kumbabishegam on the strength of the interim order dated 25.04.2023 that was passed by this Court as noted above.
6. But even at that time of passing the above said order, it was made clear that conducting the above said festival would not confer any right upon any of the parties. So, the grievance that was expressed by the private respondents may not be appropriate at this stage. They have to workout their remedy in the pending suit only.
7. With the above said development, nothing more to be considered in this petition. Hence, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No Costs. 07.06.2023 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No Indu 4/6
