O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second and third respondents to mutate the revenue records and issue patta to the petitioner in respect of the house sites bearing Plot Nos. 6 and 7 in Re-Survey No. 355/1, measuring an extent of 566 sq. ft., situated at Velampatti Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District, by considering the representation dated 19.01.2026, within a time frame stipulated by this Court.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the second respondent, namely the Revenue Divisional Officer, by order Page No. 2 of 5
dated 27.12.2024, directed grant of patta for an extent of 3,150 sq.ft., patta was issued only for 2,584 sq. ft., leaving the remaining 566 sq. ft. without assigning any reason; and that therefore, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 19.01.2026 to the respondents, for which no action has been taken.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 19.01.2026 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the second and third respondents within a period of eight weeks.
5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second and third respondents are also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner Page No. 3 of 5
