Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

2. The only grievance raised by the petitioner in this Writ Petition is that one year service of the petitioner during probationary period was not taken into consideration for calculation of his retirement benefits. Aggrieved by the same, he submitted a representation to the respondents on 31.07.2024. Against the inaction of the respondents in considering his representation, the petitioner filed this writ petition.

3. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner to direct the respondents to consider his representation dated 31.07.2024, in our considered view it is appropriate and reasonable

to dispose of this writ petition without going into the merits of the case with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 31.07.2024 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law within a stipulated time, to meet the ends of justice.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 31.07.2024 submitted by the petitioner within a period of four [4] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
