ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings, dated 19.02.2020 passed by the first respondent and direct the first and second respondents herien to restrain the Masi Festival function of Arulmigu Kadasari Nallkurumpan Temple, situated at Karumathur Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.3574 of 2020 District, to be held on 21.02.2020 and 22.02.2020 by the respondents 3 and 4.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that there is a dispute between two parties in the village with regard to conducting the festival and thereby, on the request of the second respondent, the matter was referred to the first respondent for conducting a peace committee meeting. The first respondent had summoned persons belonging to both parties to conduct the meeting on 19.02.2020. During the meeting, no consensus was arrived between the parties and thereby, the permission cannot be given.
4.Recording the same, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
