ORDER

By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, seeking to direct the respondents to sanction and to disburse the subsidy amount under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scheme, so as to enable the petitioner to demolish and reconstruct the residential building at Survey No.329/19 measuring to an extent of 2.54 cents, situated in Semmarikulam village, Thiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District, by considering his representation dated 30.12.2023.

3.The brief facts which are necessary for the disposal of this Writ Petition is as follows:- The petitioner made an application under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scheme way back in the year 2018. Since the same was not considered, he made a representation dated 30.12.2023 to the respondents requesting to disburse the fund under the said scheme for construction of the house. Since the same was not considered, this Writ Petition came to be filed. 2/4

4.When the matter was taken up for admission, the learned Government Advocate Mr.P.T.Thiraviyam appearing for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner's application has been duly considered and the same is rejected as early as on 15.02.2024. 5.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent and carefully perused the entire materials available on record.

6.Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ Petition is closed giving liberty to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order. There shall be no order as to costs.
