This writ petition has been filed to quash the proceeding of the second respondent dated 10.02.2018 and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 herein not to grant permission to the fourth respondent or to any one to conduct Drama i.e Valli Thirumanam on 14.02.2018 or any other dates in connection with Maha Sivarathiri Festival in the month of Masi for the Arulmighu Sri Thirupoovanalingam Periyannasamy Temple situated at Kathanpatty Village, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar district. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the President of Arulmighu Sri Thirupoovanalingam Kovil Trust and suppressing this fact the fourth respondent has filed W.P.(MD) No.2108 of 2018 and got an order directing the second respondent to consider his representation for conducting drama programme on 14.02.2018. He further submitted that in pursuant to the said order the second respondent has passed the impugned order granting permission to the fourth respondent for conducting Virapandiaya Kattapomman Drama and hence, the said order has to be quashed.
3.Mr.T.Selvam, learned counsel representing for the fourth respondent has submitted that the petitioner being one of the villagers is entitled to conduct drama as he likes in which the petitioner can not have any objections.
4.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that the second respondent by his order dated 13.02.2018 in C.No.26/SDO/TCL/18 has cancelled the earlier order dated 10.02.2018 and granted permission to the fourth respondent herein to conduct drama at his village namely Udaiyaservaikaranpatti. He has also produced the copy of the said order.
5.Recording the aforesaid submissions, this petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
