O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the 'Anaadheenam' entry in the revenue records relating to the property situated in Survey Nos. 461/1 and 461/3, Kizhapaguthi Village, Tharagampatti, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2023.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject property from one Rathinammal. At the time of registration, the registering authority informed that the document would be registered only after obtaining a No Objection Certificate from the revenue authorities. Accordingly, the petitioner's vendor obtained the No Objection Certificate and the document was registered. However, on verification of the revenue records, the petitioner found that the subject property had been wrongly classified as 'Anaadheenam'. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 30.11.2023 to the third respondent seeking removal Page No. 2 of 5

of the erroneous entry. However, no action has been taken thereon. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a period of sixteen weeks.

4. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. It is needless to state that before passing such orders, the petitioner and other interested parties, if any, shall be given an opportunity of being heard. No costs.
