Mr.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2.By consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The petitioner was employed in the Police Department. He reached the age of superannuation in the year 2008. However, he was not allowed to retire from service. This was on account of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pendency of the criminal case as well as the disciplinary action. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date, the disciplinary action is pending and on account of this, retiral benefits could not be disbursed. He also submitted that the criminal case has ended in acquittal. The request of the petitioner is reasonable. 4.Therefore, the respondents are directed to conclude the disciplinary action initiated against the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Writ Petition is allowed accordingly.
