ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. R.J.Karthik, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. R.Sivakumar, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

This case has been listed today under the caption 'for extension of time'.

This Court has already allowed the Criminal Miscellaneous Petition by order dated 11.10.2023 and directed each of the petitioners to deposit a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, to the account to be opened by the Registrar (Judicial), Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai, in the Indian Bank, High Court Branch, Madurai, as indicated in the Hon'ble Division Bench in W.P.(MD). No.23683 of 2023.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the petitioner could not deposit the aforesaid amount within a period of two weeks as directed by this Court by its order dated 11.10.2023, he has sought for extension of time to deposit the said amount.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant further time and accordingly, two weeks time is granted to the petitioner for depositing a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) to the account to be opened by the Registrar (Judicial), Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai, in the Indian Bank, High Court Branch, Madurai, as indicated in the Hon'ble Division Bench in W.P.(MD).No.23683 of 2023.
