ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to inspect weigh bridge and stamp machineries of the petitioner on the basis of his application dated 07.08.2017 within the time prescribed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.T.Vadivelan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner has installed a weigh bridge in the capacity 60000 kg and other equipments. Thereafter, the petitioner has filed an application dated 07.08.2017 before the first respondent seeking to inspect the above said machineries. Since no action has been taken so far, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.08.2017 and conduct inspection as per the Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1976 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that if the petitioner is not complied with any conditions, it is always open to the respondent to take action in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
