ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for conduct "Maha Sivarathiri" scheduled to be held on 18.02.2023 to 20.02.2023 and Villupattu conducted on 20.02.2023 in Arulmigu Panaiyadiyan and 21 Parivara Deities include Sri Kamatchiamman, Sri Dharma Muneeswaran Thirukovil at Keela Selvanur Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District based on the petitioner's representation, dated 17.12.2022 and 18.01.2023.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that since there existed dispute between the rival groups, peace committee meeting was conducted by the Tahsildar, Yesterday and that a main resolution was passed excluding the petitioner as Kodangi, since there 2/4
were so many complaints of misconducts and that to proceed with the festival with one Poovalingam as Poosari.
3. As rightly contended by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that since the main issue was only with respect to the petitioner, the question of granting permission to him for conducting festival and the subsequent Villuppattu, cannot be granted.
